🍯 What Are Beeswax Wraps?
Beeswax wraps are a natural, reusable alternative to plastic wrap made from cotton fabric infused with a blend of beeswax, tree resin, and jojoba oil. These wraps are soft, pliable, and slightly tacky to the touch—perfect for molding around food, bowls, and containers using the warmth of your hands.
Each wrap is handcrafted with care, using high-quality ingredients and thoughtfully chosen fabrics to bring beauty and sustainability to your kitchen.
🌍 Why Beeswax Wraps Are Better for the Planet
Choosing beeswax wraps helps reduce plastic waste and supports a more eco-conscious lifestyle:
✅ Reusable & Compostable: Unlike cling film, beeswax wraps can be reused for months and composted at the end of their life.
✅ Plastic-Free: No microplastics, no landfill buildup—just natural materials that return to the earth.
✅ Locally Made: Our wraps are handcrafted in Kanata, Ontario, using beeswax from our own hives and thoughtfully sourced ingredients.
By switching to beeswax wraps, you're making a small change with a big impact—protecting the environment, supporting local bees, and embracing a more sustainable way to store food.
🥪 How to Use Beeswax Wraps
Using beeswax wraps is simple and satisfying:
Wrap it around fruits, vegetables, cheese, bread, or sandwiches.
Cover bowls or containers by pressing the wrap around the rim to create a seal.
Fold into pouches for snacks or baked goods on the go.
The wraps hold their shape as they cool, keeping food fresh without the need for single-use plastics. After use, just rinse with cool water and mild soap, then air dry. With proper care, each wrap lasts up to a year or more.
